Located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Lynnhaven Mall opened in 1981. The 1,170,000 square feet of retail space, managed by General Growth Properties of Chicago, Illinois, is the largest enclosed super-regional shopping mall in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of southeastern Virginia, and one of the largest malls on the East Coast. Lynnhaven Mall is anchored by Dillard's, J.C. Penney, and Macy's. There are more than 180 specialty stores including: Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, XXI Forever, H&M, bareMinerals, Sephora, Hollister Co., Tilly’s, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Disney Store. Other key retailers include White House|Black Market, Francesca’s, H&M, LOFT, Vans and Banana Republic, and Old Navy. Lynnhaven Mall also featured a full-sized carousel which was removed in 2014, and children's play area inside the glass-enclosed main entrance. Take a shopping break for a quick bite at the 650-seat food court comprising seventeen eateries in a vaulted two-story atrium. Take in a movie at the eighteen-screen AMC Theatres complex or spend some leisure time at “The Inlet” an open-air pedestrian plaza.
Built by Melvin Simon & Associates, now Simon Property Group of Indianapolis, Indiana Lynnhaven Mall is conveniently located on Lynnhaven Parkway south of Interstate 264.
A renovation, announced in January 2014, will add 29,000 square feet to the mall, including a new ground-level food court and an open atrium.
