Built in 1950, Taubman-designed Lakeside Mall is located in the northeastern Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights just off M-59. Lakeside Mall is anchored by: J.C. Penney, Lord & Taylor, two Macy’s stores, and a Sears. There are 150 stores located in this dual level mall. Lakeside Mall, owned and managed by General Growth Properties is Michigan’s largest mall area. The mall caters to a niche market of shoppers with $100,000 incomes.
