The shop was small and sold high-quality accessories made of leather. Over the years, the store went from a fashion boutique and became a fashion store of high regard. During the 1970s, Loewe introduced its new perfume range to high acclaim. The brand name joined the LVMH group during 1987, which was already one of the most famous fashion houses at the time.
Currently, Loewe products are sold and represented worldwide. It has a stable trading network, with around 150 boutiques in 35 countries globally.
As a direct result of its global expansion, particularly in China, the company experienced an increase of 7.9% in its earnings during 2009, to reach €115.19m. Almost 50% of this income generated in Spain, and it accounted for 36.5% of the overall total. Its revenue for 2012 was €61.3m.
