Marie-Étienne Nitot was a royal jeweler for Queen Marie-Antoinette. In 1780 he founded his brand. Chaumet headquarters located at 12 places Vendôme in Paris. It owned by a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate known as LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.
Chaumet is available at more than 90 boutiques in cities around the world. Amongst these cities are Paris, London, Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong and Moscow. This brand also has a vast network of approved retailers including about 450 points of sale.
The history of Chaumet started over 200 years ago. It began when Marie-Étienne Nitot, the firm’s founder, completed his apprenticeship with Queen Marie-Antoinette’s jeweler and settled in Paris. Chaumet jewelers adorned such greats as Napoleon`s the First, Queen Victoria and Napoleon III. This jewelry was and still is the most sought-after jewelry in Europe.
In 1999 LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A., bought Chaumet and made it one of seven brands which are considered to be major patrons of art in France.
