Love, Bonito commits to stronger expansion in vital Asian markets

Love, Bonito brand will double its retail development activity in major Asian markets. The retailer will open new stores twice as often in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.

As of the second quarter of 2023, Love, Bonito operates three mono-brand stores in Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia. The company also owns pop-up stores in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and the U.S.

The brand is researching new markets in the U.S. and the Philippines to adopt the right strategy for further development. Previously, Love, Bonito began its expansion into the U.S. market by opening its first store in SoHo, New York.

“Over the years, we have mastered the fit for the Asian female and successfully replicated this across various clothing lines to offer women apparels suited for varying seasons in life,” said Dione Song, CEO of Love, Bonito. “As the business grew, we saw increasing momentum from the US and we knew that we had an untapped and meaningful opportunity to explore.”

Love, Bonito is a popular fashion brand that originated in Singapore. It was founded in 2010 by three friends, Rachel Lim, Viola Tan, and Velda Tan, who had a shared passion for fashion and a vision to empower women through their clothing. Love, Bonito began as an online blogshop, offering stylish and affordable women's clothing.

Over the years, Love, Bonito has evolved into a well-established fashion label, known for its trendy designs, high-quality garments, and inclusive sizing options. The brand focuses on creating versatile pieces that cater to the modern woman's needs and preferences.
