Merry Hill Shopping Centre has quite large retailing area, which is 154,002m² (1.593m ft²). Within this area, it has been a sensational blend of well-known traders with rising retailers. It is mainly a two-storied shopping centre. Its main anchors are seven in numbers. Debenhams and Marks & Spencer are two leading departmental stores in the United Kingdom. Among them, Debenhams works at international level providing fashion, accessories, gift and electrical goods. BHS, Primark and Next are mainly clothing retailers having excellent feedback from the customers. Their household products are also highly sought-after for their top-class products. Asda and Sainsburys are the leading supermarkets of United Kingdom.

From the architectural point of view, it is a simple design with excellent effect. Its front has a large car parking. Its entrance has a traditional triangular shaped shade with clean glass. It allows the entrance of daylight to show the shininess of white tiles. Inside of it, a sculpture of flying anvils enhances the beauty of the interior of the mall. A canal of the Dudley flows through the neighbouring Waterfront site and high above the verge of this mall. It has descended to Delph Locks. 

Although the recession of 2008 made several retailers leave and other issues forced to change many of its previous design and plan surrounding it, excellent customer service, top-class products and delicious foods have held it at the top position in the retailing competition between the shopping malls.
