About this store

Miss Selfridge is a British high street store dealing in fashion clothing, shoes and accessories for women. The brand Miss Selfridge began as the young fashion section of the Selfridges department store in London in 1966. The brand got its name when the owner of Selfridges department store Charles Clore saw a window display in the Bonwit Teller store showcasing “Miss Bonwit” dresses specifically designed for teenagers. Following this, Charles Clore launched Miss Selfridge in all his Lewis’s & Selfridges stores in the United Kingdom.
The following year in 1967, Miss Selfridge had several concessions throughout the country within department stores, and by 1969 there were a couple of branches on the high street. In 1999, Miss Selfridge was acquired by the Arcadia Group-owned by Sir Philip Green. Miss Selfridge was one of the first retailers to use Kate Moss in its campaigns, and in 2010 the company launched the Gossip Girl Collection. Miss Selfridges has over 150 stores in the United Kingdom. The following are some of the places where Miss Selfridges is located.
