“We are committed to connecting with all cultures and customers while raising the bar on coffee quality and craft, elevating the coffee experience for our customers for many years to come,” said Nednapa Srisamai, managing director, Starbucks Thailand.

Starbucks Thailand expects to increase its coffee shop network to 800 by 2030. Eight stores will operate under the new Community format. The company announced the transformation of its flagship Iconsiam store into a Community Store to demonstrate a “meaningful impact on local communities”.

Starbucks Thailand’s new format uses a profit-sharing business model whereby about 30 cents of every coffee drink sold will be distributed to non-profit organizations Integrated Tribal Development Foundation and Scholars of Sustenance. Starbucks plans to open 1,000 Community format stores in the global market by 2030.
