Skims, owned by Kim Kardashian, announces opening its first pop-up store in Europe. The temporary retail space will open in London on July 8, 2023.
According to the company’s press service, the pop-up store will be in Selfridges The Corner Shop. As part of the project, the brand will offer its customers a new range of swimwear and apparel, including a unique line each week.
“I’m thrilled to open our first international pop-up experience at the iconic Selfridges Corner Shop. We expect demand and buzz to be high as this is the first time SKIMS Swim will be available in retail outside of the U.S.,” said Jens Grede, Skims co-founder and CEO. “The pop-up experience will set the tone for the future of SKIMS in London, as the cultural and fashion destination is a key market for our global expansion.”
Skims will open its first permanent store in London with an expanded assortment as early as this summer. Over the next three years, the brand plans to open several mono-brand stores, including UK and European Union outlets.
The first pop-up store in London will be like a summer oasis with a swimming pool and will offer customers Skims ice cream made to order at Chin Chin Labs.
The brand is constantly expanding its retail presence. It opened a pop-up store in Rockefeller Center in New York City in May. The retail space was styled as a summer space with a pool, and customers could order Morgenstern’s Ice Cream.
New York City’s flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store opened a new space a little earlier. The brand introduced Skims’ body-positive collections, including Fits Everybody, Seamless Sculpt and Cotton, and Soft Lounge and Boyfriend models. Skims will soon open in Saks stores in Houston, Boston and Bal Harbour, Florida.
