Dixie is one of the five biggest companies in the Russian market of grocery retail. The company is specialized in the development of universal retail stores with a format of neighborhood store in Moscow, Saint Petersburg in 3 districts of the Russian Federation: Central, Northwestern, and Ural, as well as in Kaliningrad region. The first Dixie store was opened in Moscow in March of 1999. Since 2000, the network has started its development in Saint Petersburg. In 2011, the company obtained the Victoria Group of companies that allowed the company to move into the third place among national retail operators in terms of sales turnover, shopping areas and store numbers.
Today, the company manages 1,775 Dixie neighborhood stores and 110 stores in the other formats. The total retail area goes over 640,000 sq m. The major share of stocks of Dixie Group LtD is owned by Mercury, the multifunctional holding of companies.
