British fashion retailer Primark has announced plans to open its first store in Manhattan, marking a significant step in its U.S. expansion. The new flagship store will be located in the bustling Herald Square, across from Penn Station, at 150 W 34th Street. With over 54,000 square feet of retail space spread across four floors, the store will offer a full range of Primark’s affordable fashion for men, women, and children, alongside homewares and beauty products. A strategic move for Primark in the U.S. market This Manhattan location will be Primark’s 11th store in New York State, complementing the retailer’s continued expansion in the U.S. The brand is also set to open a store in Queens Center later this year. Kevin Tulip, president of Primark U.S., expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating, “Opening a location in the epicenter of U.S. fashion is going to be an exciting milestone for Primark U.S. Herald Square offers incredibly high foot traffic and national visibility, making it the perfect fit for our expansion into Manhattan.” Primark’s global growth continues Primark has been expanding its footprint in the U.S. for nearly a decade, now operating 27 stores across 11 states. The new Manhattan store will be a cornerstone of its U.S. strategy, with additional openings planned, including its first Texas store in McAllen later this year. Globally, Primark operates over 450 stores in 17 countries, further solidifying its position as a major player in the fast fashion industry.
