A prerequisite for transporting the vaccine is that the vaccine must be transported at a temperature no higher than -70 degrees Celsius. In comparison, at temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees, the product can be stored for no longer than five days.
On November 30, it became known that Pfizer and BioNTech have applied for vaccine registration with the European Medicines Agency. The use of the vaccine may begin by the end of 2020 if the Commission considers that the vaccine’s benefit exceeds the risks associated with its use. As of the second half of November, the effectiveness of the vaccine was estimated at 95%.
