Zara launched its flagship store in London with a new global concept

Spanish fashion brand Zara has announced opening their first store in a new concept in the U.K. Shopping space appeared in Bluewater shopping and entertainment center in a suburb of London. The store’s total area, which opened after the reconstruction, has almost doubled and reached 37,000 sq ft (3400 sq m).

The store in the new retail concept Zara, which the brand is developing in the world’s largest cities, continues a series of stores after the opening in Barcelona and Dubai. The store offers full collections of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and a separate corner of the Zara Home line. There is also a particular personal shopping area in the shopping space. 

Reflecting the new Zara concept, in which the physical store connects to the online sales channel. The store is equipped with automatic order picking. Customers can pick up purchases in separate zones, made through the online store, with Q.R. codes. There are also self-service cash desks and refund zones in the store. 

“It is a testament to the strength and appeal of Bluewater to brands and consumers alike that Zara has chosen it as the debut location in the U.K. for its new global flagship concept. The store provides Bluewater’s guests with a genuine omnichannel experience that sets a precedent for the future of retail,” commented Rob Hardy, Director of Portfolio Management at Landsec, co-owner and asset manager Bluewater.
