First Nickelodeon Adventure Amusement Park Opened in Greater London

One of the most popular malls in the country relies on entertainment.

The first amusement theme park Nickelodeon Adventure was opened in the UK. The project was implemented at Intu Lakeside Shopping and Entertainment Centre in Essex County, Greater London. The park is one of the new entertainment functions, which will occupy more than 16 000 sq.m. as part of the mall. The multi-million dollar investment in the project is owned by the Spanish operator Parques Reunidos. 

The first British park of its kind Nickelodeon Adventure includes a retail space of 4600 sq.m., formed around four thematic game zones. Each of them features key characters from the Nickelodeon portfolio, including Puppy Patrol, Ninja Turtles, and Sponge Bob Square Pants. 



"We have turned one of the country's most popular malls into a major shopping and entertainment destination in the southeast, and this attracts more visitors to Intu Lakeside who are looking for weekend opportunities with family and friends," commented Kate Grant, Regional Managing Director of Intu. 

The park concept includes a 4D cinema, costume characters, private parties, and a café and souvenir shop, creating the perfect day for a family holiday in the Nickelodeon style. 

The park is one of four new attractions at Intu Lakeside, worth £72 million. Two former parking lots in the adjacent area of the complex have been transformed into new entertainment projects and public space for recreation of 650 square meters. According to the analytical company GlobalData, Intu Lakeside shopping center is among the top 10 most popular malls in the UK, taking 5th of 50 places in the ranking.
