The Whitewater Shopping Centre, opened in Newbridge, County Kildare in April 2006, is the biggest shopping centre in the country outside of Dublin and the Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick. It attracted over 213,000 visitors in its first two weeks of opening.
Located in the centre of the fast-growing Newbridge, the shopping centre attracts people from across mid-Leinster, as well as from towns nearby, such as Naas, Kildare, Celbridge, Maynooth and Athy.
