Richland Mall

About this mall

Richland Mall formerly Midtown at Forest Acres   is located just off on Forest Drive at Beltine Blvd in Columbia, South Carolina.
Midtown at Forest Acres opened in the late 1960s as a strip center and was enclosed and renamed Richland Fashion Mall in 1988. Original anchors were Bonwit Teller, J.B. White, and Parisian.
Today the mall is anchored solely by Belk. Bonwit Teller closed in 1993 and was replaced by Dillard’s which closed in 2003. J.B. White was purchased by Dillard’s in the late 90s and converted to Belk as a part of a Dillard’s/Belk store swap. Parisian closed in 2006 after being acquired by Belk.
Other major retailers on the Midtown at Forest Acres campus includes TGI Fridays, Regal Cinemas, and Bank of America. Verizon Wireless operates a call center in former mall space. Eckerd also had a pharmacy at Midtown until 2005.
In April 2009, the Columbia Children’s Theatre relocated to Midtown at Forest Acres. They moved into the retail space that had previously been an Express clothing store.
