About this mall
As part of a major refurbishment project, Marstall in Ludwigsburg is given a completely new appearance for more than 100 million euros. The architectural interior design thereby pays tribute to the location’s historic roots. “Marstall” used to be the German name for “horse stable”. Respective elements will be included in the center design in the form of stable doors or horse sculptures.
Outdoors, a covering of light natural stone and an open metal structure in combination with high shop windows will break up the so-far bunkeresque building facade. The newly designed and angular Marstall staircase will open the main entrance as central element to the Reithausplatz square.
