Kaleidoscope at the Hub was an indoor shopping mall located in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Opened in 1985, it featured over 30 stores and a popular food court, serving the daily needs of the business district’s workforce.

In May 2018, plans were announced to demolish the mall to make way for a 33-story mixed-use skyscraper. The majority of the mall was vacated in February 2019, with demolition commencing in 2023. The new development, estimated at $140 million, is expected to include 390 apartment units and street-level commercial space, aiming to revitalize the area and enhance the downtown skyline.

The project has experienced delays due to legal challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as of August 2023, demolition is underway, with construction anticipated to begin later this year.
