About this mall

This is mainly a four-storied building. More than 280 shops occupy a retailing area of 185,000 m2. A brilliant mixing of world-class brands and promising new brands have brought an excellent level of shopping environment here. A fair competition between these brands has given the consumers an opportunity to have best products and excellent service. It has four main areas positioned across two floors. The names of these four areas are Peel Avenue, Regent Crescent, The Dome, and The Orient. It was designed in this way to ensure entry of visitors to both central shopping floors in similar figures.

The prominent retailers, John Lewis, Selfridge & Co, and Debenhams, have opened their two-storied stores as anchor tenants to face the huge demand of the consumers. Besides that, M&S has its enormous store in the second floor. Other stores such as ASDA, NEXT, Topshop, Topman, Kurt Geiger, Boots, Karen Millen, Jane Norman, Gap, Mexx and Apple store are ceaselessly serving their top-class service. There are plans to expand the retailing area in the near future.

The most striking fact about it is that, its food court, the Orient, is the largest in the whole Europe and a 20-screen multiplex cinema, Odean, is the biggest in the United Kingdom. These two attract 28,500 visits every year. The Orient is a 1600-seat food court with a theme from 1930s. It has world’s best cuisines including Chinese, American, Egypt and Morocco. Taking two floors, there are several restaurants and cafés including the Exchange Bar & Grill, TGI Fridays, Starbucks, Est Est Est, Ma Potter’s, Nando’s and Cathay Dim Sum. Other leading fast foods such as McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Subway, Harry Ramsdens and Pizza Hut are also providing their best according to their reputation. Another elegant and shiny structure, namely Great Hall, houses other five restaurants.

A Laser Quest arena, Paradise Island miniature golf, a Namco Centre with dodgems, bowling, and arcade games are other extraordinary sources of recreation. The neighbouring Trafford Quays Leisure Village has a Chill Factore, Trafford golf centre, a skydiving centre, and an indoor football facility. Barton Square has a Sea Life Centre aquarium. 350 coach spaces permit huge number of people to reach and have fun together. There is a planning to build Trafford Centre Metrolink station and a ferry system.

The planning process of the Trafford Centre is the longest and most expansive in the history of United Kingdom. It is Rococo in design with diverse essentials of Art Deco and Egyptian Revival. Its primary decoration is white’s shade, pink and gold. Marble with colour of ivory, jade and caramel spread throughout. At night, the marble floors give an elegant style.

Trafford centre has proved itself as a prominent, promising and prospective shopping centre in the United Kingdom. From its architectural beauty to its pleasant environment, from its top-class products to its excellent services, from its delicious cuisine to its sources of recreation, it is a complete package for visitors from every sphere of life.
