The shopping centre is built on the site of the original Donaghmede House. The shopping centre had a H Williams supermarket, but was sold to Dunnes Stores in 1987. The shopping centre has a McDonald’s restaurant, a pub called The Donaghmede Inn and a public library.
Proposals to redevelop the shopping centre have been in discussion for some years and as of 2007, permission for some redevelopment has been given.
The collection will include about 750 articles and 250 unique styles to match.
