About this mall
Boynton Beach Mall, an enclosed shopping centre, which is based in Boynton Beach, Florida, offers a range of stores, such as JC Penney, Dillard’s, Sears, Macy’s, along with around 135 specialty stores and food stores. The center was erected by the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation during 1985. It is currently under the ownership of the Simon Property Group.
The mall used to have a fountain with a huge monarch butterfly on top of a waterfall, which created an unusual sound with the shorts bursts of water that fell. The mall continued this theme with two small bronze foundations. One featured a boy and his dog having fun with a garden hose, while the other, which was placed at the other end of the centre, featured a girl pouring water into the fountain from a bucket.
The mall underwent renovations during 2001, including the removal of the three fountains. However, the statue of the girl with the bucket is still located at one end of the building.
Boynton Beach Mall is conveniently placed between West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, off Florida’s main north-south thoroughfare, the I-95.
The mall benefits from a compact, densely populated area and offers service to the middle and upper-middle income groups in Boynton Beach. It also serves the western suburban areas, and the wealthy coastal communities situated to the eastern side of the mall.
It features several department store favorites, eateries and specialty stores, along with a 14-screen theatre complex. Boynton Beach Mall is a top-level mall situated in a growing, affluent market.
