L’Occitane en Provence has opened a redesigned boutique on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, offering a fresh store design and enhanced shopping experience. Located at 416 Columbus Ave, the 891-square-foot store introduces a touch of Provence to New York City, with authentic elements such as archways inspired by southern France and terracotta herringbone tiles. Enhanced customer experience with personalized services The new boutique features several upgrades aimed at providing a more personalized shopping experience. Among these are a mobile point-of-sale (POS) system, curated services like mini-facials, hand massages, skin analysis, and complimentary gift wrapping. Customers can also enjoy remote private shopping sessions with a dedicated beauty host. “This store offers a distinctive experience, immersing visitors in the essence of L’Occitane’s origins. It encapsulates everything that makes our brand exceptional—the sense of community, the rich heritage of Provence, and the passionate people who bring our products to life,” said Yann Tanini, managing director of L’Occitane North America. Part of a larger expansion in the Tri-state area The Upper West Side location is just one part of L’Occitane’s broader expansion in the Tri-state area. The company plans to open five new concept boutiques this fall, including a new location at Belmont Village in Long Island, and remodeled stores on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, Newark International Airport, and Short Hills, New Jersey.
