Jacquemus has officially opened “The New York Boutique,” marking its first store in the United States. Nestled in Manhattan’s SoHo district, the boutique reflects the brand’s signature style, combining Parisian elegance with local artistic influences. Construction for the space commenced in November 2023, with design by the renowned architecture firm OMA in collaboration with Simon Porte Jacquemus. A blend of history and modern design Housed in a charming 19th-century brick townhouse, the boutique spans 2,906 square feet (270 square meters) over two levels. OMA has curated an interior that balances minimalism with warmth, featuring light wood and white stucco throughout. The flooring pays homage to traditional French castle pavements, while custom-crafted clothing racks and staircase railings, designed by an Italian iron artisan, add a distinctive touch. Vibrant banana yellow curtains bring a lively contrast to the understated palette. Curated furniture and art collection The furniture selection reflects careful sourcing, showcasing pieces from iconic designers such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Jean Dunand, and Bertrand Lacroix. The boutique also features an impressive art collection, with works by Aristide Maillol, Joan Miró, Pierre Bonnard, Peter Schlesinger, and Wolfgang Tillmans, enhancing the artistic ambiance that SoHo is known for.
