Ingka Group, one of the world’s key players in commercial real estate, created the Lykli brand to develop an innovative meeting place concept in India. The company noted that India is witnessing rapid growth in the mall culture. The market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 29 percent and retail sales in malls in eight major cities will reach $39 billion by 2027.

“Shopping malls have long been perceived as simply places to shop. Ingreska Centres´ immersive experiences challenge this outdated concept and transform shopping malls into a destination for many people to recharge, play, build emotional connections and nurture community. Lykli will capture that promise in its own unique way directly speaking to the people of Gurugram,” says Anna Larsen, Global Marketing Manager for Ingka Centers.

The first mall under the new brand will be the Lykli Gurugram meeting place in New Delhi, scheduled to open by the end of 2025. The mall will be designed with local needs in mind, with a playful mix of restaurants and entertainment, complemented by a variety of retail from both global and local brands.

Ingka Centres has 50 years of experience in shopping centres and today works with 3,000 brands across its portfolio of 47 meeting places worldwide.
