Despite Indonesia’s current business restrictions, the grand opening of an extensive shopping and entertainment center, AEON Mall Sentul City, was held. The complex in Bogor, near Jakarta, is one of the largest on the island and in Bogor, near Jakarta.

The Head of Bogor administration, Ade Yasin, speaking at the shopping mall’s opening ceremony, expressed hope that the new shopping center will help fuel the regency’s economy despite the pandemic.

“The public is very enthusiastic about the shopping center. “I am also happy to support our economy as we try to recover from the impact of the pandemic,” Ade Yasin commented.

Today, the province is in the so-called “orange” zone with an average virus spread. The local authorities recommended that companies managing the new malls establish strict sanitary protocols. Due to the region’s complicated epidemiological situation, attendance at the facility will be limited to 50%. The wearing of personal protective equipment will be obligatory for all visitors.

Sentul Mall City is located in the province of West Java in an area of 1.9 hectares. The Mall unites about 270 tenants, including world-famous brands including H&M, Uniqlo, Yonex, and Pizza Hut, writes The Jakarta Post.

Earlier, the Indonesian authorities introduced new restrictions as part of the second wave of the virus. Crowded places were required to close daily after 7 PM. The rules concern shopping centers, restaurants, and even grocery stores. Tourist facilities in the country remain in operation at a 50% occupancy rate.
