Emaar Properties announced the start of Dubai Hills Mall project, a family retail district located in the center of Dubai Hills Estate, the 11 million sq m master-planned green oasis set in the nearness to Al Maktoum International Airport and Downtown Dubai.
Dubai Hills Mall will have a gross leasable area (GLA) of over 2 million sq ft (187,500 sq m) and planned to open in 2019. Dubai Hills Mall will also feature four key family entertainment centers including a cineplex, a 65,000 sq ft hypermarket, seven anchor retail stores, and parking for over 7,000 vehicles. The mall will add to the lifestyle selection of residents in Dubai Hills Estate, featuring several residential communities including villas, townhouses, and apartments.
The mall strategically located at the crossing of Umm Suqeim Street and Al Khail Road and will also have a link to the Dubai Metro and other public transport. Active streetscapes and a lively boulevard, with F&B outlets, retail stores, and an outdoor event area define it as a family-first address that redefines the shopping mall experience.

The mall will be a center of Dubai Hills Estate, one of the biggest master-planned neighborhoods in the city developed by Emaar Properties and Meraas. It will highlight a total green area of over 23 million sq ft that includes a golf course, and a central park covering an area of about 1.9 million sq ft. The golf course faces the Downtown Dubai skyline.
