The Ruhr-Park is a shopping center in Bochum, Germany. With its 115.000 square meters of retail space, It is currently one of the largest shopping centers in Germany. The mall first opened it’s doors back in 1964 as one of the first malls in Germany and had a floor area of about 24,000 square meters. Since its opening the center got extended five times by what the floor area grew up to 126,000 square metters. The mall today features 130 retail shops, 7,500 parking spaces and a site area of around 252,000 square meters. Approximately 50,000 people visit the shops and events of this modern shopping center. 

This single-storey shopping center is divided into about 130 retail outlets.  The selection of shops is diverse, including brands such as C&A, H&M, Karstadt, Kaufland, Media Markt, New Yorker, Desigual, Esprit, Intersport, Vero Moda. 

The dining options here are plenty as there is a food-court called Via Bartolo. A central hall offers a large public area bathed in light, surrounded by the walkway and limited by the individual restaurants with their “counters”. Diverse dining options can be found in the mall including Asian food, Mediterian food, Cafes , American fast food such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc. In the entertainment zone there is UCI multiplex cinema, Fitness center and Bowling Lounge.

The Ruhr Park is located on the junction Bochum (A40 / A43).
