The Tower Theater is located at Eighth Street and Broadway, and its unusual architecture makes it impossible not to notice. It was designed in 1927 by the famous architect Charles Lee. Charles Lee, most famous for creating movie theaters.

It was the first large theater in Los Angeles history explicitly designed for sound cinematography, and it was a real engineering breakthrough in those years. Apple emphasizes that since its construction, the Tower Theater building has been associated with innovative technology.

For a long time, the theater was used for its intended purpose. By 1988, however, the original building was empty and had gradually fallen into disrepair. According to representatives from Apple, the company collaborated with many leading restorers and artists in Los Angeles to give it a pristine look. The building was additionally reinforced, and all of its surfaces were meticulously treated. Everything was done to ensure that visitors could see the Tower Theater in its original form.

Behind its wide doors, visitors can enter a monumental hallway inspired by the Parisian opera of Charles Garnier, with a large arched staircase with bronze railings and marble Corinthian columns. Stained glass windows, massive chandeliers, carpeted staircases, and surfaces richly decorated with moldings and paintings – all this allows you to plunge into a completely different world. And all this splendor harmonizes in exciting ways with the modern wooden rectangular tables with electronics laid out on them.
