Apple has opened its second store in India. The new Apple Saket opened its doors to customers on April 20. The store is located on the first floor of the SelectCITY Walk shopping mall in Saket district.

Reportedly, Tim Cook personally came to the store opening, as he did two days earlier. Hundreds of locals were in a long line long before the long-awaited opening to participate in the historic event and take pictures with the Apple CEO.

The new Apple Store in Delhi is significantly smaller than the flagship store in Mumbai. Nevertheless, it also features all Apple products and numerous customer experiences and services.

The store has a unique curved display case with white oak tables featuring every Apple product on the Indian market today, including iPhones, MacBooks, Apple Music, Apple Arcade and Apple TV.

Employees at the new Apple Saket, representing 18 different states in India, advise customers in 15 languages. It is noted that half of the new store’s staff are women.

“Our wonderful employees look forward to connecting with the local community and helping them find new ways to fulfill their passions and unleash their creativity through our amazing products and services,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail.

With the launch of its own stores, Apple plans to significantly strengthen its market position in India, where the first retail operations began 25 years ago and an iPhone factory opened in 2019.
