De Beers opens a flagship store in Hong Kong

The new high-end jewelry showroom is the first space to showcase high-end jewelry masterpieces.

De Beers, an international corporation specializing in mining, processing and selling diamonds, announced the opening of its flagship store in Hong Kong. The facade of the diamond giant's new retail space is inspired by the process of turning a diamond from rough to polished.

The upper part of the De Beers store is a textured metal whose luster resembles a natural diamond. The lower part of the store consists of multicolored glass panels with a unique triangular pattern.

The total area of the two-level store is 170 square meters. The retail space is in a prestigious location on Canton Road in the Harbor City shopping district, Tsim Sha Tsui. The store's exterior echoes the De Beers flagship on Old Bond Street in London.

"The new high-end jewelry showroom is the first space created by De Beers in Hong Kong to showcase high-end jewelry masterpieces," the press office commented.

De Beers is a diamond mining company, one of the largest in the world. It was founded in 1888 in South Africa and has played a leading role in the diamond industry ever since. De Beers controls a significant portion of the world's diamond production and has a broad spectrum of diamond-related activities, including mining, processing, trading and retail.
